Abstract, Event Details:

A non perturbative technique which incorporates finite N effects as well as renormalization group properties will be presented. This method, know as RGOPT, is a potential alternative to deal with QCD phase transitions specially at finite baryonic densities. Apart from generating results which go beyond the large N limit the method solves the scale dependence problem which plagues some other analytical approximations.

The way the RGOPT works will be illustrated with some applications to effective models.
